Skin Prep – Night Out

How I create a seamless and almost pore-less base for my makeup routine before a night out (I say almost because we all have pores and it’s NORMAL).

Step 1: Gentle Exfoliation

I mixed brown sugar with almond oil. I love a DIY exfoliant!

Very gentle exfoliation is always a must for me before a big night out because it gets rid of the dead skin laying on the surface of the face. This helps the makeup lay on smoothly.

Step 2: Microcurrent – Tightening

I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT THIS TOOL! If I can recommend an anti-aging tool to invest in, it would be this one. I used the Nuface device with the gel primer that comes with it. Microcurrent is an incredibly quick option for contouring the face so the puffy face situation is non-existent before a night out. It has so many great anti-aging benefits too! This tool is the only thing that works to contour my face in less than a few minutes. I show you how to manage the tool in the video.

Step 3: Cleansing Balm

I used my absolute favorite cleanser at the moment to wash off the gel. It gets everything off in one wash while still leaving my face hydrated. Watch me and don’t copy me as I make a weird face while scooping it up with my hands instead of a scooper to keep it sanitary. I’m only human ugh.

Step 4: Toning Mist

I love a toning mist that dries quick and still delivers! This one is perfect for this routine because it gives a nice natural glow to the skin (a glow that looks like it came from within – a winner). It’s so refreshing after a quick microcurrent session.

Step 5: Plumping Serum

A good hydrating serum is essential before moisturizer for me. It helps to keep my skin looking healthy and hydrated with makeup on.

Step 6: Under-eyes & Smile Lines

Who likes when makeup creases? Not I that’s for sure. Under-eyes and smile lines always need to be extra hydrated so makeup looks smooth and almost like skin. I take a tiny bit of the mask and massage it in for the best results. Bye bye concealer creases.

Step 7: Moisturizer

I’ve been LOVING this moisturizer under makeup because the texture is sort of like a silicone feel so it fills in the pores nicely and smooths the skin out. Such a smooth finish and perfect base for makeup! It works like a primer, except it’s SKINCARE! What’s better than that? I know I would rather have skincare as a primer instead of an added makeup product.

Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you enjoy these beautiful products just as much as I do. I wouldn’t recommend them if I didn’t think they weren’t A1 ;).
